Ok so this idea is much bigger than the other two I wrote about it. This one is serious and it will save lives. The technology is all there it is just a matter of putting it togeather and making it work.
How about a system that will alert you when an emergency vehicle is approaching. I know you are saying "thats what the lights and sirens are for". True but if you look at the evolution of emergency vehicles from bells to hand crank sirens to lights there have been many upgrades in technology and this would be one of the same.
Here is the idea.
Every emergency vehicle would have a transponder in the front. Every vehicle on the road would have a receiver in it. When the receiver picks up the signal that an Emergency vehicle is approaching,it would mute the car stereo, and play a message. Using GPS that message could tell you from what direction the Emergency vehicle is approaching and could even suggest what you should do. ie move to the right.
Once developed you need to sell the idea to the US Government that it should be mandatory in every new vehicle.
This one could make you very rich. If you develop it please at least give me some credit.

Lightweight anchor for an inflatable raft
If this has been done I have never seen it. If it has not been done its a money maker waiting to happen. I live in SW Florida so going to the beach is a regular thing for me. What I hate is when I get settled in on my raft and fall asleep only to wake up later miles down the beach from where I started. Too bad you cant anchor your raft down, but who wants to carry a big heavy anchor to the beach.
Here is the idea.
A piece of PVC (maybe 3 in or bigger) capped at both end at least one cap being screw on
A heavy canvass raft. The type with grommets in the corners
Pieces of rope attached to all 4 corners of the raft with hooks on the other end so they can all be attached to an eye on the PVC pipe.
For travel purpose the PVC can be used to store the uninflatted raft and rope.
When you arrive at the beach you would fill the PVC pipe with wet sand attach the ropes and it becomes your anchor.
Let me know if you invent it. I will buy one from you.

Here's the Idea
I am full of ideas but I am not really motivated to try to be an inventor. I've decided I am going to through ideas out there, and if they are realistic you can please feel free to invent the products.
Good Luck!
